Make sure you're not having an internet connectivity issue. Facebook can't let you in if you're offline! Been there, done that.
Facebook account locked? You might have been temporarily locked out for security reasons. Try the 'Forgot Password' option!
Honestly, it might be an issue on Facebook's end. They have server maintenance sometimes, just wait it out.
Could also be a browser issue. Clear your cache and cookies or try another browser.
