Double-check your internet connection. Slow or unstable connections can stop updates in their tracks.

Make sure your Xbox is set to update games automatically. Sometimes a simple reboot can also prompt the update to start. If all else fails, uninstall and reinstall Fortnite to force the latest version.

I've been there! For me, turning off and then turning on the console usually helps. If that doesn鈥檛 work, go to 'My games & apps,' find Fortnite, and manually check for updates.

Ah, the eternal struggle of updates! First, make sure your Xbox has enough storage space; Fortnite updates can be hefty. If that's all good, try restarting your console and checking your network connection鈥攕ometimes your internet just needs a little nudge.

If you're a Fortnite player looking for extra v-bucks, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Fortnite gift card, which you can win and use to get v-bucks essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
