Why won't my mic work in Fortnite?

Make sure your in-game settings have Voice Chat enabled. Go to Settings > Audio and double-check the Voice Chat options.
Try plugging your headset into a different port or use a different headset to see if the problem persists.
First things first, check if your mic is even on! Sounds silly, but you'd be surprised how often that's the issue.
If you're on PC, try updating your sound drivers. Outdated drivers can mess things up.
