First off, don't panic! The most common culprit is usually missing or outdated files. Try right-clicking the game in your Steam library, go to Properties, then Local Files, and hit 'Verify integrity of game files.' Steam will check and fix any missing or corrupted files. Also, make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause all sorts of havoc with game playability.
It's probably just a bug. Steam games bug out all the time. Wait for an update or contact support if it's super urgent.
Just reinstall it, lol. Steam games can be finicky. If nothing else works, deleting and downloading it again usually does the trick for me.
If your game's still giving you the silent treatment, it could be your antivirus having a bit of a moment and mistakenly blocking it. Check your antivirus settings and make sure it's not treating your game like it's up to no good. Sometimes adding the game's folder to your antivirus' exceptions list does the trick.
