As someone who’s put countless hours into Subnautica, I’d say just enjoy the solitude! Multiplayer would change the game drastically, and not necessarily for the better.

Highly doubt it. The developers seem pretty committed to keeping Subnautica a solo adventure. Maybe try adding mods if you want multiplayer.
