Not sure if they will, but Tetris has a ton of versions with local multiplayer already. You could try Tetris Party Deluxe for the Wii or Puyo Puyo Tetris for the Switch. Great games!

I doubt it. Nintendo seems more focused on online multiplayer for Tetris these days.

They already did! Tetris 99 on the Nintendo Switch has a local multiplayer mode called 'Local Arena' where up to 8 players can battle it out together. Grab some friends and have a blast!

I remember playing Tetris DS with local multiplayer, it was a blast! Nintendo has done it before, so it鈥檚 totally possible they could do it again.
