What happened to CS:GO Lounge?

Ah, CS:GO Lounge, the trip down memory lane. So, what went down is pretty simple but a bit of a bummer. It used to be the go-to spot for betting on CS:GO matches with your in-game items. But then, Valve, the big boss behind CS:GO, decided to crack down on gambling sites in 2016 because of legal and ethical concerns. They sent out cease and desist letters to several sites, including CS:GO Lounge. This forced CS:GO Lounge to pivot away from item betting to becoming more of an esports entertainment hub without the betting aspect. So, it's still around but in a very different form.

Honestly, it should've been obvious gambling sites like CS:GO Lounge were gonna get shut down. Valve stepping in was just a matter of time. I'm just surprised it took them as long as it did.

CSGO Lounge? Oh, they got hit hard by Valve's hammer for the gambling stuff. Had to stop letting people bet skins on matches.
