Froakie, that elusive water frog Pokemon, isn't just hopping around in the tall grass waiting for you in Pokemon Violet. Unfortunately, you can't catch Froakie in the wild in either Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet directly. But don't lose hope! You can still get Froakie through the Pokemon Home service. Froakie? In Pokemon Violet? Good luck! You're gonna need it 'cause Froakie can't be caught in the wild. Your best bet is to use Pokemon Home to transfer it from another game.

Actually, finding Froakie is a breeze... in Pokemon X and Y! Then it's a quick transfer to Pokemon Violet through Pokemon Home. Easy-peasy.
