Why are CS:GO servers down?

CS:GO servers could be down for a bunch of reasons. Could be routine maintenance - gotta keep those servers running smoothly. Could also be due to an update or patch being rolled out, especially with new features or big bug fixes. And then there's always the possibility of server overload or unexpected technical issues. Valve usually gets things up and running pretty quickly, though.

DDoS attacks. Hate to say it, but some folks get their kicks by bringing down game servers. Not common, but it happens.

Scheduled maintenance, most likely. They need to tune up the digital gears and oil the virtual valves from time to time. Keeps the game running like a well-oiled machine!

Sometimes it's just your internet acting up. Always check if it's really the servers or just your connection before sounding the alarm!
