Sometimes it's just bad luck, but other times, it could be your internet connection acting up. A quick router restart might just do the trick and reduce those matchmaking times. Worked for me more than once!

Matchmaking times in CS:GO can feel like an eternity, but usually, it's just a few factors at play. High rank or less popular game modes can lead to longer wait times because there are fewer players in that pool. Your geographical location also matters; if you're playing at off-peak hours in your region, it's gonna take a bit longer to find a match. Lastly, make sure your game settings aren’t too restrictive on ping or map preferences, as that can also increase wait times.
