Yes, you can transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Sword to Pokémon Violet, but it's not a straight path. You'll need to use Pokémon HOME, a cloud-based service by Nintendo, to move your Pokémon from Sword to Violet. First, transfer your Pokémon from Sword to Pokémon HOME, and then from HOME to Violet. Remember, Pokémon HOME supports moving Pokémon between compatible games, so make sure to check the compatibility on the Pokémon HOME app!

Short answer: Yup! But only through Pokémon HOME. Direct transfer isn't an option.

Definitely can, but honestly, it feels like a bit of a chore sometimes. Had to move my shiny collection to Violet and it took a bit, but totally worth it to see them in the new game!
