Could not establish connection to steam servers CSGO: how to fix?

First off, don't panic! This happens to the best of us. Start by checking your internet connection to make sure it's stable. If the internet's all good, try restarting your router. Sometimes, it's the simplest things that work. If that doesn't help, check if Steam is down by looking at their official status page or on DownDetector. Steam maintenance or outages can cause these issues, and if that's the case, you just have to wait it out. Lastly, try running Steam as an administrator. Right-click the Steam icon, choose 'Run as administrator', and see if that sorts it.

Steam servers are down, grab a snack and wait it out. Happens to the best of us!

It's possible your firewall or antivirus is blocking Steam. Make sure to whitelist Steam in your antivirus and firewall settings. I had the same problem once, and it turned out my antivirus decided Steam was too steamy for my PC. A quick adjustment to the settings, and I was back in action.
