Yep, CS:GO idle servers totally work. They're designed for players to idle in-game, allowing them to rack up hours, sometimes for cosmetic drops or just to show off how many hours they've got in-game. It's not the most thrilling gameplay, given you're mostly AFK, but it does what it's supposed to.

Honestly, idle servers are a waste of time. Yeah, you get hours but no real skills or enjoyment. Plus, the drops aren't even that great most of the time.

Can confirm they work. Used to park my character in an idle server overnight and found a few neat skins waiting for me by morning. It ain't like hitting the jackpot, but it's a nice little bonus for doing literally nothing.
