Forfeiting in CS:GO doesn't hit your ELO harder than taking a regular loss. It's all about the rounds you've won and lost before you hit that forfeit button. If you're thinking of bailing because you're getting stomped, your ELO's already taken the hit, buddy.

Nope, you don't lose more ELO when you forfeit in CS:GO. The ELO loss is calculated based on the round results up to the point of the forfeit, so it's similar to if the game ended right there. But, tbh, sticking through could give you a chance to turn the game around and save some of that precious ELO.

Actually, it feels like it should, but no, you don't lose more ELO for forfeiting. It's a common misconception. The loss is pretty much based on the game's progress. But, mentally, it feels worse, doesn't it? Like admitting defeat.

Forfeit or not, your ELO's looking at the scoreboard not the surrender flag. So might as well play it out, who knows what'll happen?
