After the nuclear dust settled, Bethesda Game Studios took us back to the wasteland with Fallout 76, deciding to mix things up by creating an online multiplayer RPG experience. Set just 25 years after the bombs fell, it's a prequel to the previous games, letting players emerge from Vault 76 into a devastated West Virginia. The idea was to let players experience the fallout together, rebuilding the wasteland in a massive open world. Not just another chapter in the Fallout saga, but a whole new way to play with friends - or make new ones, maybe even foes, in the Appalachian wilderness.

lol, because Bethesda wanted to see if we'd survive the apocalypse with friends. Spoiler: It's wild.

Didn't you hear? Bethesda just wanted to take all our caps IRL, not just in-game. ;)
