Trade it! Just make sure Magmar is holding a Magmarizer, then trade with a buddy. No need to walk 10,000 steps or climb the highest peak in Paldea; it's all about that trade.

To evolve Magmar into Magmortar in Pokemon Violet, you'll need to trade Magmar while it's holding a Magmarizer. Finding a Magmarizer can be a bit of a trek, often found as a rare drop from catching or defeating wild Magmars or in certain locations in the game. Once you’ve got one, attach it to your Magmar, find a friend to trade with, and voila! Magmortar will be yours after the trade completes.
