How Do You Work Beacons in Minecraft?
Last updated
Ever wondered how to get those shiny beacons working in Minecraft? You’re not alone! Beacons are a super cool way to boost your game, but they can be a bit tricky to figure out.
So, how exactly do you work beacons in Minecraft? Let’s dig into this and make everything clear and simple.
Getting Your Beacon to Shine
First things first, you need a beacon. You can get one by defeating the Wither, a boss creature in the game. Once you have your beacon, the real fun begins.
To activate your beacon, you’ll need to build a pyramid out of iron, gold, diamond, emerald, or netherite blocks. The pyramid can be 1 to 4 levels high, and the bigger your pyramid, the more powers your beacon can have. Place your beacon on top of the pyramid, and voila! It lights up, sending a beam into the sky.
Choosing Your Powers
Once your beacon is shining, you can give yourself special powers. Just open the beacon’s menu, and you’ll see different powers available. These could include Speed, Jump Boost, Strength, and more. The size of your pyramid determines how many powers you can activate.
But remember, to lock in your choice of power, you’ll need at least one iron ingot, gold ingot, emerald, diamond, or netherite ingot. Place it in the slot in the beacon’s menu, and hit the checkmark. Your chosen power will now affect anyone within range of the beacon.
