How much RAM is needed for CS:GO?

CS:GO isn't too demanding on your system, so you'd be fine with 4GB of RAM, but for the smoothest experience, especially if you're planning to run other programs in the background, 8GB is the sweet spot. Anything beyond that is just icing on the cake and mainly benefits other, more demanding tasks you might be doing.

8GB RAM or go home. Seriously, 4GB might get the game running, but if you want to actually enjoy playing without any frustrating lag or stutter, 8GB is where it's at. Plus, it helps your computer handle the game better if you're streaming or using Discord to chat with your mates.

Honestly, I ran CS:GO on a potato laptop with just 4GB of RAM and it was fine. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but if you're on a tight budget and just want to play, 4GB will do.

4GB for those on a budget, 8GB for the best experience. Anything more is overkill for just CS:GO.
