Super easy! First, make sure you and your friend are in the same lobby. Then, choose 'Play with Friends' from the main menu, set the game to Private, and select the map. Before launching, open the game settings and disable the 'Bot' option. Voila, ready for a 1v1 without those pesky bots interrupting your duel!

just go for community servers type '1v1' in the server browser and join. no need to mess with settings or anything!
