How to Breed Pokemon in Pokemon Violet

Breeding in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet follows a fresh approach! Gone are the days of the Day Care Centers. To breed Pokemon in these games, you need to have a Picnic. Just set up your Picnic anywhere in the Paldea region, and place two Pokemon from the same Egg Group into your party. Make sure you have an empty slot in your party for the Egg. After some time chilling and enjoying your Picnic, you'll find an Egg ready to be added to your party. Remember, playing and cleaning up at the Picnic speeds up the egg hatching process!

Hot take: You don't 'breed' in Scarlet/Violet like old games. It's all about having picnics now. Modern problems require modern solutions, amirite?

Actually, it's much simpler than before. Set up a Picnic, have Pokemon of the same Egg Group in your party, and make sure you have an open slot. Soon enough, you'll have an Egg. Personally, I've found this way more engaging than just leaving my Pokemon at a daycare.
