Honestly, just throw a Quick Ball right at the beginning of the battle. It's surprising how often that works, especially if you're trying to fill up your Pokédex fast.

Catching Pokemon in Pokemon Violet is a blast! Just find a wild Pokemon, go into battle with it, and once its health is low enough, toss a Pokeball at it.
