How to change and save FOV in CS:GO

Changing your FOV in CS:GO isn't as straightforward as in some other games, cause you can't directly change the FOV through the in-game settings. But, you can change the viewmodel's position to make it feel like you've changed the FOV. Open console with `~`, then type `viewmodel_fov` followed by your desired value (the default is 60, max is 68). Remember, this changes how close or far your gun appears, not your actual FOV. To save it, create an autoexec.cfg file in your cfg folder and add the same command there. This way, your settings stick every time you start the game!

Lol just play the game, why bother changing FOV. It's not like you magically become a pro by seeing a bit more on the sides.

I changed my viewmodel FOV to 68, and it feels like a whole new game. Just type `viewmodel_fov 68` in your console, and you're set. Don't forget to save it in an autoexec.cfg file, or you'll have to type it every time you launch CS:GO.
