Actually, I just leave it on default. Messing with gamma too much can make things look weird, IMO.

Super easy fix here! Just open up your console in CS:GO by hitting the `~` key (you might need to enable it in the game settings first). Then, type `mat_monitorgamma` followed by a space and a value between 1.6 and 2.6 - that's your brightness level. So, if you want it brighter, go closer to 1.6. If you prefer it darker, aim for 2.6. Example: `mat_monitorgamma 1.8`. Adjust until you find your sweet spot!

Found the perfect setting after a lot of trial and error! I personally use `mat_monitorgamma 2.2` because it gives a great balance without making the dark areas too hard to see. Definitely helps in those clutch moments when you're trying not to get jumped by someone hiding in the shadows.
