Actually, you wanna use the console for more precision. Hit the tilde key (~) to open it up and type 'cl_crosshaircolor 5; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255; cl_crosshaircolor_b 255'. This sets your crosshair color to pure white. Make sure you enable the console in the game settings first!
