To switch up the game mode while you're in the thick of it in CS:GO, you gotta pull up the console first. Make sure it's enabled in your game settings under 'Game Settings' > 'Enable Developer Console.' Then, hit the tilde key (~) to open it up. Once you're in, you can type 'changelevel [map name] [game mode]' to jump straight to your preferred mode. For example, 'changelevel de_dust2 deathmatch' would switch you to a deathmatch on Dust II. Remember, you'll need to have the necessary permissions if you're trying to do this on a server you don't own!

Honestly, most of the fun in CS:GO comes from sticking to the game mode you initially chose. But if you're really keen on changing it mid-game, go for the console command route like the first person suggested. Been there, done that, and it works like a charm if you know what you're doing.
