How to Change the Name of Your Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet
Best answer

Changing your Pokémon's name in Pokémon Scarlet is super easy! Just head to any Pokémon Center and look for the NPC called the Name Rater. He's the key to renaming your Pokémon. Simply talk to him, select the Pokémon whose name you want to change, and type in the new name you've chosen. Remember, you can only rename Pokémon that you've caught yourself. Traded Pokémon keep their original names unless they haven't been named yet.

If you caught a Pokémon and you're not vibin' with its name anymore, just swing by the Pokémon Center and chat with the Name Rater. He's chill and will let you rename your Pokémon no problem. But if it's a traded Pokémon, you're kinda stuck with its name unless it's nickname-free.

Honestly, why rename your Pokémon when their original names are chef's kiss? But you do you, head to the Name Rater if you must.
