Honestly, just go to your game settings, much easier. You can change resolution without touching the console.

I tried changing resolutions via console for the longest time. But, one day, my game started crashing. Turned out, messing with console commands without knowing exactly what each one does was a bad idea. Ended up reinstalling CS:GO. So, be cautious with those commands!

Super easy! Just open the console in-game with the `~` key. Type `mat_setvideomode width height 0` for fullscreen or `mat_setvideomode width height 1` for windowed mode. Replace 'width' and 'height' with your desired resolution numbers. So, if you wanna go 1920x1080 fullscreen, just type `mat_setvideomode 1920 1080 0`. Boom, new resolution!

Console commands for resolution changes are like using cheat codes for video settings. Why bother when you can easily adjust it through the game's display options? Some things are better left simple.
