How to change CS:GO resolution outside of the game
Best answer

Easy fix! Open Steam, go to your game library, right-click on CS:GO and select 'Properties'. Under the 'General' tab, click on 'Set Launch Options'. Here, you type in '-w WIDTH -h HEIGHT', replacing WIDTH and HEIGHT with your desired resolution. For example, '-w 1920 -h 1080' for full HD. Hit OK, and you're all set for your next launch!

Honestly, just set it in-game. Way less of a hassle.

Just edit your config file. Navigate to where CS:GO is installed and look for the cfg folder. Open the video.txt file and look for "setting.defaultres" and "setting.defaultresheight", changing them to your preferred resolution values. Save the file, and you're good to go!

Tried the launch option thing, works like a charm every time. You can even switch it up for a potato PC setup or when you wanna go full try-hard mode with high res. Definitely gamer-approved!
