Don't forget, you can also use console commands to change your crosshair color. Type 'cl_crosshaircolor' in the console followed by a number from 0-4 for basic colors, or use 'cl_crosshaircolor 5' followed by 'cl_crosshaircolor_r', 'cl_crosshaircolor_g', and 'cl_crosshaircolor_b' commands to input custom RGB values. It's a bit more complex but gives you total control over the color.

IMHO, just stick with green. It's the best color for visibility across most maps. Overthinking it won't make you a better player.
