How to Change Your FPS Max Forever in CS:GO

Just set it once in the console and forget it. Type 'fps_max 120' (or whatever you want your max FPS to be) in the game console. Works like a charm for me every time, no need to mess with files or anything complicated.

To change your FPS max forever in CS:GO, you'll want to tweak your autoexec.cfg file. First, find or create this file in your CS:GO cfg folder. Open it with any text editor, and add the line 'fps_max XYZ', where XYZ is your desired maximum FPS. For example, 'fps_max 300'. This will set your FPS limit permanently, even after restarting the game. Remember to save the file!

Honestly, messing with game files seems risky. Just use the in-game console command 'fps_max' every time you play. Yeah, it's not 'forever', but it's safe and easy.
