Just hit 'net_graph 1' in the console. Gives you all the juicy details, not just FPS. Easy peasy.

To check your average FPS in CS:GO, you gotta enable the in-game console first. Do this by going to your game settings and enabling the developer console. Once that's set, hit the tilde key (~) to open the console during a game and type 'cl_showfps 1'. This command will show your FPS in real-time. If you want a more detailed analysis, including average FPS, use 'net_graph 1'. This one gives you a bunch of stats including FPS, ping, and packet loss.

'cl_showfps 1' is all you need. Why complicate things?

Honestly, just using an external software like FRAPS or the Steam FPS counter is way less hassle. Keeps your screen cleaner and you still see your FPS.
