How to check your competitive rank in CS:GO

If you're new to CS:GO, keep in mind you need to win 10 competitive matches to get your initial rank. After that, it's all displayed on your profile for the world (or at least your friends) to see. Took me a bit to get there, but seeing that rank for the first time felt like winning a minor esports tourney.

Easy peasy! Just fire up CS:GO and click on 'Play' to head into the game modes. Choose 'Official Matchmaking' and there you'll see your rank displayed right below your username. It's as straightforward as finding a bomb site on Dust II.

Actually, sometimes the best way to check is to ask a friend. The UI can be a bit confusing for newcomers, plus it's an excuse to brag about your rank (or motivate you to rank up).

Lol, just look in the game, dude. It’s right there when you go to play a match.
