How to Check Durability in Minecraft: A Quick Guide
Last updated
Ever find yourself wondering how to check the durability of your tools and armor in Minecraft? You’re not alone! It’s a key part of keeping your gear in tip-top shape.
So, how does one go about checking an item’s durability in Minecraft? Let’s dive into that.
Quick Answer: Checking Durability
To check the durability of any item in Minecraft, you have a simple method. If you’re playing on PC or Mac, just press F3+H. This action will show you the advanced tooltips. Among other details, it tells you the item’s durability. For console and mobile players, unfortunately, there’s no direct way to view durability numbers, but you can see an item’s condition through its graphical representation in the inventory.
Once you’ve enabled the advanced tooltips, hover over the item in your inventory. You’ll see two numbers. The first number is the current durability, and the second is the total durability the item started with.
