To check your item's wear in CS:GO, you gotta inspect it in your inventory. Just right-click the item and select 'Inspect in-game'. This will show you the weapon or item in all its glory and you can see the wear level indicated as 'Factory New', 'Minimal Wear', 'Field-Tested', 'Well-Worn', or 'Battle-Scarred'. The closer to 'Factory New', the less wear it has!

Honestly, you can kinda just eyeball it once you get the hang of what each wear level looks like. But, inspecting gives you the exact condition.
