How to Compile a Map with Custom Textures in CS:GO
Best answer

Compiling a map with custom textures in CS:GO isn't as tough as it sounds! First, you gotta make sure your textures are in the right format. CS:GO loves the VTF (Valve Texture Format), so convert your textures to VTF. Then, use a tool like VTFEdit to create your VMT (Valve Material Type) files, which is like telling the game how to display your textures. Place these files in the correct materials folder in your CS:GO directory. Now, when you're in Hammer Editor, creating your masterpiece of a map, you can select your custom textures from the material browser to apply them. Finally, compile your map. If you've done everything right, your custom textures will be part of the map, making it look unique and possibly more awesome!

Remember, if your custom textures aren't showing up after compiling, double-check your VMT files. A tiny mistake there and CS:GO acts like your textures are invisible. Happened to me once, fixed the VMT, and bam, it worked.

Just drag and drop, dude. Put those custom textures in the materials folder and call it a day. Easy peasy.
