Setting up a CS:GO LAN game is like prepping for an epic backyard BBQ, but for gamers. First, everyone needs to be on the same network. Now, one person acts as the host by starting CS:GO, opening the console with '`', and typing 'sv_lan 1' to make sure the game knows it's LAN time. Then, launch a game with 'map de_dust2' (or any map you fancy). Players join by opening their console, typing 'connect' followed by the host's IP address. Make sure your firewall isn't being a party pooper by allowing CS:GO through. Boom, you're in!

Simple version? Host starts game, sets it to LAN with 'sv_lan 1', picks a map, and tells everyone the IP. Friends type 'connect <IP>' in their console. Don't let your firewall block the fun.

Honestly, who does LANs anymore? Just hop online; it's 2023.
