Have you ever wondered how to embark on an adventure to the Nether in Minecraft? Let’s dive into how to create that magical doorway, the Nether Portal, step by step.

Constructing a Nether Portal involves gathering Obsidian blocks and igniting them in a specific arrangement. Ready to learn more? Keep reading!

Quick Steps to Building Your Nether Portal

To start your journey to the Nether, you’ll need at least 10 Obsidian blocks. You can obtain Obsidian by pouring water over lava and then mining it with a diamond or netherite pickaxe. Remember, no other pickaxe will do the trick!

Once you have your Obsidian, create a rectangle that’s 4 blocks tall and 5 blocks wide. Leave the corners empty to save on Obsidian if you like. Now comes the fun part: ignite the center of the rectangle using a flint and steel or a fire charge. Voila! Your Nether Portal is ready!
