Honestly, why bother with a shortcut? Steam already does a great job organizing games. Click and play, simple!

Just drag and drop the CS:GO exe from your file explorer to your desktop. Done.

I'd avoid shortcuts. Just pin CS:GO to your taskbar or start menu directly from Steam. More convenient and less clutter.

Easy peasy! Right-click on your desktop, go to 'New' > 'Shortcut'. In the 'Type the location of the item' box, paste the path to your CS:GO exe file, usually something like 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo.exe'. Click 'Next', name it 'CS:GO' or whatever you like, and hit 'Finish'. Voila, shortcut made!
