How to decrease your FOV in CS:GO

Decreasing your FOV in CS:GO isn't as straightforward as some other games because CS:GO doesn't have a direct FOV slider in its options. However, you can change your FOV by adjusting the viewmodel settings. Open the console (~ key) and use the command viewmodel_fov, setting it to a lower value than the default (which is usually 60). Try 'viewmodel_fov 54' for a slightly closer view. Keep in mind; this won't change your actual FOV in terms of peripheral vision, but it will change how much of your weapon you see.

You can't really 'decrease your FOV' in the traditional sense in CS:GO, because the game doesn't let you adjust the field of view like in other shooters. It's fixed to ensure competitive fairness. What you can tweak is the viewmodel, which kinda gives the illusion of a different FOV.

Just play on a 4:3 screen ratio, lol. It feels like it changes the FOV even if it technically doesn't.
