I tried everything but ended up using a third-party app to block the streams. Not ideal, but it works.

Honestly, just ignore the stream feature. Focus on the game and it won’t even bother you after a while.

Disabling streams in CS:GO isn't directly an in-game option but you can minimize the impact by reducing your Steam settings. Go to Steam > Settings > Interface, and then uncheck the box that says 'Enable DirectWrite for improved font smoothing and kerning'. Also, in the Steam Library, right-click on CS:GO > Properties > General, and set 'Enable Steam Overlay while in-game' to off.
