Setting up a 1v1 in CS:GO is easier than you might think! First, you gotta have a friend ready to go head-to-head with. Then, choose a map - aim maps are perfect for 1v1s. Open the game, go to 'Play' -> 'Play with Friends'. Set the lobby to 'Private Match' and invite your friend. Choose the map and start the game. Once in, type 'exec gamemode_competitive' into the console to set it up for a 1v1. Don't forget to tweak settings like round time or weapons as you like!

Honestly, official servers don't cut it for a proper 1v1 experience. Find a good community server that's set up for 1v1s. You'll get better maps, settings, and no hassle with setup.

Simplest way? Download a 1v1 map from the Steam Workshop, invite your buddy, and just start shooting. No need to overcomplicate it.

Just grab a friend and jump into a game, any more steps and it's like planning a wedding, not a 1v1.
