Setting up a private competitive CS:GO match is simpler than it sounds! First, make sure all players have CS:GO installed. Then, launch the game and open the console by pressing the '`' key. Type 'map de_dust2' (or any map you prefer) to start a server with that map. After the map loads, open the console again and type 'bot_kick' to remove bots. Invite your friends using the 'invite' option in the pause menu, and you can set the game to competitive mode with 'game_mode 1' and 'game_type 0'. Remember, you can adjust settings like round time and friendly fire with additional console commands!

Honestly, why bother? Just join a public server with a competitive setup. Less hassle.

Just use a community server. Much easier. You can find tons of guides online on how to set one up. Plus, you avoid the hassle of kicking bots and tweaking game settings manually.
