Easiest way? Battle the rich trainers! Search for 'em around the map; they look fancy and pay out big. Also, don't forget about the lucrative League rematches. Both methods fill your wallet quicker than you can say 'Pikachu!'

Honestly? Just catch and sell Pokémon. Some of 'em go for a good amount, especially if they're holding items. Easy and you get to explore the game more.
