Honestly, just download maps from the workshop. Making them is way too hard.

To tweak existing maps, you’d want to decompile them first, but be respectful of original creators. Only use decompiled maps for learning. Creating from scratch with the Valve Hammer Editor is the best practice. It’s a powerful tool once you get the hang of it.
