You gotta be patient, mate. The game has a way of guiding you through its mysteries, including the Gatehouse. Make sure you're following the main quests and it'll lead you right there eventually. I thought my game was bugged at first, but turned out I just needed to progress a bit more.

just run up to it and it should let u in if ur at the right part of the game. if it doesn't, ur probably not there yet story-wise
