Evolving Chingling in Pokemon Violet is pretty simple! First, you gotta make sure Chingling is super happy with you. How do you do that? Just spend a lot of quality time battling and walking around with it. Oh, and don't let it faint too much; that's a real happiness killer. Once Chingling hits maximum happiness, level it up during the nighttime in the game, and bam! You'll get yourself a Chimecho.

Hot take: Forget leveling up at night, just focus on making Chingling happy. I mean, keep it in your party, give it a Soothe Bell if you have one, and battle with it. Happiness is key, not the time of day. Worked for me!
