To evolve Gastly into Haunter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you just need to level it up to 25. After that, evolving Haunter into Gengar is a bit trickier - you'll need to trade Haunter with a friend. Once the trade is complete, Haunter evolves into Gengar. Don't worry, you can trade right back to keep your new Gengar!
