Had a Hippopotas once, leveled it up battling around the open world of Paldea. It evolved into Hippowdon exactly at level 34. It's a straightforward process, no tricks!

Evolving Hippopotas in Pokémon Violet is super easy! Just like in previous games, you don't need any special items. All you gotta do is level up Hippopotas to level 34, and it'll evolve into Hippowdon. Just keep training and battling with it to rack up those experience points. The great part about Pokémon Violet is exploring the vast open world of the Paldea region, which gives you plenty of chances to level up your Pokémon!
