Honestly, I think sticking with Hisuian Qwilfish without evolving it is underrated. Overqwil is cool and all, but Hisuian Qwilfish has a certain charm, plus it's a unique challenge to keep it as is.

To evolve Hisuian Qwilfish in Pokemon Scarlet, you gotta use the move Barb Barrage. Make sure Qwilfish uses that move in 20 battles. It doesn't need to win the battles; just using the move is enough! After the 20th battle, Hisuian Qwilfish will evolve into Overqwil. What's cool is that you don't have to do the battles consecutively. So, take your time and enjoy the journey!

I evolved my Hisuian Qwilfish just last week! Used Barb Barrage in 20 different battles, and poof, got myself an Overqwil. It's pretty straightforward but make sure you're keeping count of the battles. The change is definitely worth it!
