Evolving Scizor in Pokémon Violet is actually about evolving its pre-evolution, Scyther. To evolve Scyther into Scizor, you'll need a Metal Coat item. First, make sure Scyther is holding the Metal Coat. Then, find a trading partner because the evolution only triggers when you trade Scyther while it's holding the item. Once the trade is complete, Scyther will evolve into Scizor!

From my experience, evolving Scyther into Scizor can be a bit of a pain because of the trading part. I had to ask a friend to help me out since you need to trade it while it's holding a Metal Coat. But it was totally worth it, Scizor has been a powerhouse on my team ever since!
